Mode of action

PYR 0.5 CS is a ready to use liquid against crawling and flying insects, suitable for amateurs, private and public organizations. It can be used as a curative treatment if it is applied on the insects or on their route. Furthermore, it can be used as a preventative treatment if it is applied on the treated area to prevent insects from returning. The application of PYR 0.5 CS is versatile: direct spraying and surface treatment indoor and around buildings is possible. Affected insects will be immediately poisoned, the active starts blocking the transmission and regulation of nerve signal, and will carry the microcapsules into their harborage site, creating a chain effect. PYR 0.5 CS’s protection lasts up to one month: afterwards you can apply the product again or clean the surfaces with detergent and hot water to stop the biocidal effect.

Application

PYR 0.5 CS is a powerful insecticide for usage indoors and around buildings with one active plant-based ingredient (Pyrethrum), made stronger by a booster mix with no PBO added. PYR 0.5 CS ensures a unique long lasting effect for up to one month. The innovative micro encapsulating technology protects the botanical active and allows a controlled release for a prolonged efficacy.

By contact and chain effect

Some microcapsules will start diffusing the active ingredient through the insects' cuticle. Some others will be transported by the insect to contaminate its harborage site.

Fast action

Pyrethrum blocks the transmission and the regulation of nerve signal, causing death. The active ingredient Pyrethrum, entrapped in the small microcapsules, immediately starts to diffuse blocking the transmission and the regulation of nerve signal in the target organisms, causing death.

Long lasting effect

The micro encapsulating technology allows a controlled and stable release of the active ingredient. Some capsules immediately start diffusing the active, some others stay on the surface protecting the area up to one month.

The only active ingredient of PYR 0.5 CS is Pyrethrum.

PYR 0.5 CS contains pyrethrum - one active ingredient extracted from flowers. Pyrethrum is made from dried flower heads of the Chrysanthemum flower sourced from Tasmania. Pyrethrum-producing plants are harvested and sent to a processing plant for extraction and refining. This highly complex process, the extraction by supercritical CO₂, is low toxic and also used in the food industry. Pyrethrum has a good biodegradability when exposed to air, light or heat. As an insecticide, it acts mainly by contact blocking the transmission and the regulation of nerve signal, and causes death.
